Testimonials

Testimonials shows up to six customer quotes as cards. Each Testimonial block has a star rating from 0 to 5, the quote, the author's name and an optional product, which appears as a link next to the name. The section and the cards each have their own color scheme, so the cards can stand out from the background.

Best practices#

• Use real feedback, with permission. Only quote real customers, in their own words, and get their consent. Made-up reviews mislead shoppers and are illegal in many countries.
• Keep quotes short. Two or three sentences per card are easier to read than a long review.
• Link the product. A quote next to the product it's about helps shoppers act on it.
• Set the rating to 0 to hide the stars for quotes that aren't reviews, such as press quotes.
• Two, three, four or six cards fill the rows evenly on desktops. Five cards leave a gap in the second row.
• For many reviews, use a reviews app and its app block on product pages instead.

Preset tips#

• Sorrel uses it on the home page with sand-colored Scheme 2 for the section and white cards.
• Stars use the accent color of the card scheme, so they pick up your brand color automatically.
